Door opening improvement, rubber grommet ring

Putting this out there as a custom solution I am considering, the hole in the door of my Spiderbot is a bit too sharp to my liking so I started considering a way to improve that. I came up with the following, a type of rubber ring that can be mounted in a hole, it is apparently quite common for pc cases and electrical wiring in buildings. They are called rubber grommets.

After finally figuring out these things are called "Doorvoertule" in Dutch, I was able to find a company that can deliver a free sample of one of these in the correct size. Let's wait and see. :-)

The cover PVS is 1.3 mm (0.0511 inch) thick
The hole is 40 mm (1,574 inch) in diameter.

So the grommet ring came in. It fit in the hole really well. From a cosmetic point of view it is slightly too thick, but functional it works like a charm! :D

Ordered a 5 pack from here, as I can't seem to find the original supplier.

Ok, small update. What ever you do, do NOT order those grommets in the link above. They fit very nice, they feel good but the STINK and by stink, I mean A LOT. I had two printers with them and even after several days I just threw them away because it was impossible to be in the same room.
